Therapy

Sessions focus on bringing awareness to patterns you want to explore and potentially shift, while incorporating the body, breath, movement, and somatic techniques to facilitate insight, emotional release, self-compassion, and healing. To truly work through emotional challenges, being present in your body is key. Old trauma and stress are often held in the nervous system and manifest as physical tension, disrupted sleep, racing thoughts, or emotional fatigue. While talking can offer valuable insight, it’s often not enough to change deeply ingrained patterns. My approach is tailored to your unique background, culture, and needs. Somatic techniques include focusing on breathwork, natural movement, grounding exercises, and exploring body-based metaphors and dreams. We might also incorporate journaling, creative expression, mindfulness, or nature-based practices to deepen your process. Our sessions will flow between conversation and embodied exploration. Through this integrative process, you will experience what it’s like to shift old patterns in a tangible, felt way—allowing you to approach life’s challenges with a fresh perspective, and either enact change or find peace with what is.

What to Expect

In our sessions, we’ll explore the patterns, emotions, and experiences that shape your life, using a combination of somatic techniques, breathwork, movement, creative expression, and mindfulness alongside traditional talk therapy. Each session is tailored to your unique needs, culture, and story.

You can expect a safe, compassionate, and embodied space where old habits can shift in a tangible, felt way. By integrating body and mind, clients often experience relief from tension, clearer thinking, and a deeper sense of presence and self-understanding. My goal is to help you navigate life’s challenges with resilience, self-compassion, and a renewed connection to yourself.

Sessions offered in person or virtually. Together, we’ll explore your body’s wisdom, release stuck energy, and create space for transformation, clarity, and emotional well-being.

Therapy is first about discovering. It’s about who you are and about what your deepest emotional attitudes are. It’s not just about who you think you are. It’s not something you can know with the intellect. It’s about who you are in the very heart of yourself. That’s the flavor of psychotherapy, discovering yourself, discovering your real attitudes toward the most important pieces of your life. At some point you realize that the things that you thought you were stuck with, your character traits, are changeable. You can be free of them… At the end you have consistency and vision. You have resolved many conflicts, in which one part of you wants something and another part is against it. The journey itself becomes a way of life.
